We wanted to enable more efficient and effective communication in a somewhat antiquated experience, so we created Loom's Gmail integration.
You can create and share your Quick Videos directly from your Gmail inbox. It's faster than typing up a response and adds quite a bit of personality.
How to activate Loom for Gmail?
You can easily manage your Gmail integration through your Loom Account Settings.
You can choose between enabling the full Gmail Integration or just the Link Expanding option.
The full integration allows you to add videos directly from your New Message compose window. The Link Expanding option will automatically turn any Loom link to an embed player for users with the Loom extension installed. This allows you to watch the video inline so you don't have to leave the context of the conversation.
How to add Loom videos to your Gmail message?
To add a Loom to your Gmail, all you have to do is create a new message and click the Loom icon next to the Send button:
Adding a quick video to your new message will automatically populate your Subject Line and add the video to the body of your message.
If you choose to Create New Recording, you will be able to edit the title of your video and description before adding it to your new message.
